Parkdale High School Student Stabbed |
|
Wednesday, 02 April 2008 |
|
At 1445 hours E813 (Riverdale Heights), A807, and MD30 were alerted to a report of a cutting/stabbing at Parkdale High School. As units were responding, PSC advised that there was a report of 2 victims with A813 on the scene attending to one of the victims.
While attempting to transport the first victim, A813 was flagged down by a group of students to aid the second victim. A848 overheard the communication and responded to assist and start CPR along with E813 and Deputies of the Prince George's County Sheriff's Department. Chief 807 arrived on the scene and established the Parkdale Command.
In addition to managing the multiple victims and units responding to and on the scene, command had to also contend with the myriad of students that had just been released for the day from school. The victim was quickly loaded onto A848's cot and transported by A807 due to the fact they were in a better position to vacate the now chaotic scene.
It is unfortunate to report that the young victim of this senseless act succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Due to the graphic nature of this incident, photos are being withheld. We thank you for understanding.
