Tower 807 Responds on 28 Working Fire

March 11th, 2017 - In the morning approximately 0930 hours Tower 807 was alerted for a reported house fire in Company 28 (West Lanham Hills) first due as the third due special service. Arriving as second due special service Tower 807 assumed second due responsibilities as the search company per command. Working on scene the crew of Tower 807 performed primary and secondary searches of the residence which both negative for any occupants. Crews remained on scene for approximately one hour.

 

 

 

 

 
Engine 73 added to Working Brush Fire

March 7th, 2017 - Approximately 1700 hours Engine 73 was returning to quarters from an activated fire alarm when Public Safety Communications advised Engine 807 and Engine 812 to a large brush fire in Company 814's (Berwyn Heights) first due. First arriving units found a large brush fire approximately 2 miles off the roadway and inaccessible to any vehicles. Due to the large amount of fire encountered and difficulty accessing the fir and a water supply, Command (Battalion 884) upgraded the assignment to a working incident. Engine 807 with Engine 812 established a water supply involving relay pumping from supply Engine 835 to the attack Engine 811. Crews on Engine 807 then worked with crews on scene with establish a fire break and then soaking the area thoroughly until command cleared the assignment at roughly 2030 hours.  

 

 

 
Volunteers Help With Food Basket Delivery

December 21st, 2016 - Today the volunteers were happy to work along side the members of the Town Hall and Riverdale Park Police Department to hand out food baskets to the citizens of Riverdale Park to help celebrate the holidays. It was a great time to work along side of a great team and help the great residents of Riverdale Park!

 

 
Tower 807 Responds on 35 Box 2 Alarmer

December 21st, 2016 - Approximately 0100 hours Tower 807 was dispatched as the second due special service for a reported fire on the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway in Company 35's (Greenbelt) first due.Tower 807 with a crew of 6 volunteers and Chief 807B were alerted by units on scene that there was fire showing through the roof. When Tower 807 arrived on scene the volunteers went immediately to work on division 2 with the crew from Engine 812 (College Park). Crews also assisted with opening up the apartment and salvage and overhaul operations. The volunteers operated on scene until approximately 0245 hours.

 

 

 
Tower Runs 13 Box With Civilian Trapped

November 23rd, 2016 - At approximately 0230 hours Tower 807 was dispatched for a house fire with a report of people trapped. Engine 813 (Riverdale Heights) arrived to find fire showing from multiple sides of the dwelling. Communications also reported that a person was trapped within the house. Tower 807 arrived on scene and began to make entry on the dwelling. Once inside crews from Engine 828 and Tower 807 located the victim and assisted the resident out to awaiting medics on location. The tower continued to operate on location performing primary and secondary searches as well as overhaul operations. The Tower remained on location till 0730 hours.
