On Friday October 19, 2012 at 1650hrs PSC dispatched Engine 73 as the second due engine for a reported house fire in the 6200blk of 87th Ave in West Lanham Hills company 48's first due. Engine 73 responded with 4 personnel and arrived on the scene right behind engine company 48. Engine 73 secured the water supply for the first due engine and advanced the 400' to division 1. The crew from Engine 73 with the assistance of truck 12, opened up the ceiling on division 1 to gain access to the attic fire. Once access was gained and the knock made command scaled back the incident to 2 engines and 2 trucks. Engine 73 cleared the scene in just under an hour.
