After getting everything cleaned up from the previous fire, getting a bite to eat, running a few more calls and crawling in bed the bells rang again just before 0300hrs for another house fire in company 55's area. Engine 73 was dispatched to 4300blk of Lawrence St, just 4 blocks from the fire less then 6 hours before. Engine 73 and Chief 7A, as Battalion Chief 884, responded with 7 personnel. Units arrived on the scene with smoke showing from a 1 story single family dwelling. Chief 7A was assigned as the division 1 supervisor. Engine 73 arrived taking the third due position and advanced the 400' line and stood by on side Alpha.

Crews on the inside found a fire in the kitchen and made quick work of the fire. Command scaled back the assignment to the first arriving engine and truck. Engine 73 and Chief 7A cleared the scene around 0330hrs.
