Just before 0600hrs PSC dispatched the street alarm for 8403 Potomac Avenue, in company 11's first due, for the reported of a house fire with people trapped. Engine 73 was dispatched as the third due engine, Tower 7 was dispatched as the third due special service, and Chief 7 responded making a total of 12 personnel. Engine 73 arrived on the scene securing company 11's water supply. The crew from Engine 73 advanced the 400 foot line plus a rack to protect the bravo exposure and extinguish the multiple sheds in the rear. Tower 7 arrived on the scene and set up RIT on side Alpha. Due to high winds and a well advanced fire, command called for additional units. The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes. Company 7 cleared the scene at 0830hrs.
