Just after 1300hrs on Sunday April 16, PSC dispatched the house fire in the 6600blk of Adrian St in company 48's area. Engine 72 was dispatched as the second due engine, but due to other units being closer Engine 72 was moved to the 4th due engine. First arriving units found a single family home with a working fire in the basement. Engine 72 arrived and picked up the third due engine's line and the crew advanced the line to side Charlie.

Units found the house to have "hording" conditions on the inside and the exterior basement entrance was overgrown with brush and bamboo. Engine 72's crew stood by at the exterior basement door and then assisted with mopping up in the basement. Engine 72 worked on the scene for just under 2 hours before being returned to service.
