Thursday, March 13 2014 12:12

Just after returning from the morning breakfast run to the local Dunkin' Donuts, PSC dispatched the box for a reported house fire in the 5000blk of 38th Ave with a report of people trapped. Engine 73 was dispatched as the third due engine and was the third arriving apparatus on the scene. First arriving units found a single family home with fire showing from side Delta.

Engine 73 arrived on the scene and advanced the 400' pre-connect to side Charlie and preformed the basement check. With finding nothing in the basement the crew made entry to division 1 and assisted with the extinguishing the fire. With the fire being knocked and under control in less the 30 minutes command started to scale back units. Engine 73 cleared the scene just before 1100hrs.
