At 0536 hrs., Riverdale Park Police contacted PSC for “heavy” smoke in the area of the 4600 block of Queensbury Road.  Engine 807 responded with 8 volunteers and, while investigating the smoke in the 4600 block of Queensbury Road, noticed fire coming from a basement window of a house on East West Hwy.

Engine 807 arrived on the scene of the corrected address, 4603 East West Hwy, and called for the box alarm.  The crew from Engine 807 advanced an attack line as the entry man tried to gain entry and the officer did his circle check.  The only door that was found to be open was the basement door.

The crew advanced the line into the basement and within 5 minutes of the Engine being on the scene the fire was knocked. Due to extension to the upper floors via the walls, and "Colliers Mansion" conditions inside, command called for a Task Force.

Within an hour command started releasing units.  Engine 807 cleared the scene at 0745 hrs.
