Just after 1500hrs on June 3, 2014 PSC started receiving calls reporting a house on fir in the 5400blk of Emerson St. Tower 7 was dispatched as the first due special service and responded with 4, but was coming from out of position and assumed the second due responsibilities. First arriving units found a 1 and half story single family home with heave smoke showing and fire showing from side Bravo. Tower 7 arrived on the scene as the interior crew made their way into the house to make their way to the second floor.

Tower 7's interior crew preformed a primary search as well as opened up on the first and second floors. The exterior crew laddered sides Bravo and Delta of the house. The fire was contained in about 15 minutes.

While operating on the fire, Firefighter Michael McClary sustained injuries to his respiratory tract including burns and smoke inhalation. He was transported to MedStar burn center where he was kept overnight in the ICU.
