At approximately 1900 hours on Friday, February 7, the station was alerted to respond as third and fourth due engines on a reported house fire with people trapped at 2804 Curry Drive in Company 34's (Chillum-Adelphi) first due.  Truck 801 (Hyattsville) was first arriving reporting smoke showing.  As additional units arrived on scene, heavy fire was reported on sides Bravo and Charlie of the split level house.

Engine 807 approached from the opposite direction and laid a split lay, picked up by Engine 807B, and proceeded to position on side alpha.  The crew from E807 pulled the 200' crosslay and proceeded to side Charlie to make entrance into the lower level of the house.  Minutes later they reported that the basement (lower level) was clear.  Meanwhile the crew form E807B bulled a back up line from E807, also a 200' crosslay, and also proceeded to the rear of the house making entrance and advancing to the upper level.

Within 20 minutes of initial dispatch, the fire was knocked and extensive overhaul operations were begun.  Command soon began releasing units and both engines were placed in service.  Other companies on the call included Branchville (811), Berwyn Heights (814), college Park (812), and Bunker Hill (855).
